The Center for Radiology Education (CRE) has announced a nationwide initiative to provide up to 5,000 scholarships in 2026 for students enrolling in medical imaging programs at John Patrick University of Health and Applied Sciences (JPU). This initiative aims to address the severe shortage of radiologic technologists, which currently has an 18% vacancy rate nationwide. Scholarships, which can be up to $10,000 per student, will support tuition for various programs, including Radiologic Technology and MRI. CRE emphasizes the importance of strengthening the healthcare workforce and improving access to education for aspiring healthcare professionals. Applications for the May 2026 cohort are now open.
